🎤 Highlight the Restless Open Mic community
The @restlessopenmic community is made up of the most supportive, talented, kind, and hardworking creatives I’ve ever met. They are the reason I create as much as I do and why I respect the craft as much as I do. Our event NEEDED to feature artists who performed there and whose craft we deeply admire.
👨🎤 Support hardworking artists
From the start, we wanted to make sure that all of our performers were paid and that the event was still affordable. So, we priced our tickets at $10.
👶 Honor my younger self
When I was younger, I found out my grandfather hosted a variety show on a local radio station. Ever since, I’d always wanted to do the same. Each event will blend different types of performers and, as a host, I will spend some time interviewing with each performer; getting to know them and helping the crowd get to know them better as well.
About Restless Open Mic
Do you have a poem, song, lyric, line, joke, story, or thought that keeps you up at night? Come to the Restless Open Mic and tell us all about it. Poets, musicians, Emcees, comedians, people, vampyrs, shamen, witches, interdimensional beings, extra terrestrials, cousins, etc. are all welcome!
Restless Open Mic is every Monday at Château Le Woof. Signup begins at 6:00pm and the list CLOSES at 7:00pm. The show begins promptly at 7:15pm and ends at 9:30pm. Everybody gets 7 minutes. Due to those time constraints, we can guarantee 15 slots. Therefore, if you signup after 15, you will be able to go depending on if we have extra time. So make sure you SIGN UP EARLY!
